Delete A Key In Regedit Of Windows


Regedit allows you modify how Windows 7 behaves.

Regedit is a Windows utility allowing you to edit the registry. The registry is where windows store its configuration. Windows 7 is the new (as of 2010) Microsoft operating system that requires you to run Regedit in administrator mode to make any changes to it.

Instructions

1.
Go to the "Start" menu and type "Regedit." Regedit appears on the top of the start menu search window.

2.
Right click on regedit and select "Run as administrator."

3.
Navigate to the key you need to delete.

4.
Highlight the key by clicking on it once.

5.
Click on the "File" menu and select "Export."

6.
Name the file "backup" and click "Save."

7.
Press the "Delete' key to erase the key.
